Local company expects to benefit directly from the proposed
$787 billion stimulus package going before Obama today

WACO, TX, February 17, 2009 – Among obvious concern about the hefty price tag of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and ongoing arguments about the ultimate impact of the bill, at least one company in Waco is already set to profit from its passage.  360Solutions, LLC is an employee training and consulting company based in Waco that, through a partnership with a national non-profit organization, will receive a capital infusion that is a direct result of the stimulus package.  In addition to benefitting the company directly, it could also have a positive impact on the local job market.

“We anticipate substantial additional revenue to reinvest in the Waco job market,” 360Solutions CEO Chip Wilson said.  “360Solutions has a multi-billion dollar contract with SER National, one of the Department of Labor’s national grantees, to deliver training and development programs that help hard-to-serve groups enter the workforce.”

SER National is a private, non-profit organization that implements a variety of initiatives to increase the development and utilization of America’s human resources.  The organization receives funds directly from the Department of Labor for Senior Community Service Employment Programs (SCSEP), which helps senior citizens get the training and experience they need to reenter the workforce.

360Solutions has worked with SER over the last 2 years to execute a variety of relevant training courses for SCSEP participants in eight states throughout the U.S. including California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Rhode Island, Texas and Wisconsin.  Some of the practical training topics in the current course catalog include: basic clerical skills, basic computer skills, how to dress professionally, how to interview and how to write a resume.  And to encourage personal development in preparation for a new job, SCSEP and 360Solutions have added other courses like Understanding Generational Diversity, Personal Accountability and Controlling Stress.

If the bill is passed as expected, the Department of Labor will receive a portion and disburse those funds to various projects that help increase national employment.  SER is set to receive a disbursement and will continue to contract with 360Solutions to facilitate training courses for their program participants.

360Solutions coordinates SCSEP training courses at SER offices in cities throughout the nation including Waco.  One of the local SCSEP participants, Veronica Lozano, was even hired by 360Solutions upon completion of the program.
